Electro Adapter also manufactures special, innovative designs that are unmatched for EMI/RFI shielding, weight reduction, corrosion protection, repairability, and shock/vibration integrity. These include:
IBISS: a unique solution for critical shielding applications that allows for individually banded terminations inside the
adapter housing together with an external, overall termination. This design can achieve shielding up to 80 db at 10 GHz.
Electro-Lok: incorporates a 360°, positive lock against loosening of the free spinning coupling without relying on anti
-rotation springs. This allows accurate torquing of the coupling with complete vibration/shock integrity.
Composites: conductively plated adapters for normal environments or our unplated, internally shielded adapter for
rugged applications and lightning strike integrity. The internally shielded, composite adapter was developed for and incorporated on the F-22 and Joint Strike Fighters.
